Very dissapointing. I purchased one pair for my daughter(7) and one for my son (4) so they would stop taking mine all the time. The viewer is equivalent to looking through a warped piece of glass and it's easier to see with your eyes than these "binoculars". I'm surprised since the quality of Melissa and Doug toys is usually excellent. This is a case of "you get what you pay for". I will now look for a set of real binoculars that are more than just cute.
When I received the butterfly binoculars the butterfly was already broken and the box had been taped shut. Maybe a return from another customer? Very tacky but too late to get a new one by Christmas.

I purchased this toy for my grandson who is three. He does like it, but I cannot say that this is his favorite toy. However, it is durable and the binoculars lenses are well made.

Pleasantly surprised at how well the images appear in the scope. Once it's been loosened a little, our 3 yr old grandson can adjust the magnification/clarity. He's a big-time bird watchin' fool, and he loves it that he has binocs his size!

My 3 year old grandson loves these binoculars. They are easy for him to use and fun for finding birds and ducks on our lake. His 2 year old brother had no trouble using them either and now I have to get him a pair.
