Not steel as advertised July 28, 2010 Seth D. Parsons (Coupeville, WA USA) I bought this toy for my son's birthday, which is in August so I haven't even opened the toy to play with it yet. That being said, the toy is obviously made of plastic, not steel as it is advertised in the Seller's Description on the Amazon.com listing.
I'm sure the toy is fun. And the whole rocket concept is wicked sweet.
But my family is trying desperately to stay away from petroleum products and I feel violated by the seller's description.
In fact, I came to Amazon this afternoon to figure out how to send the dang thing back, but the reviews by others who say their kids love it has convinced me to give it a chance.
Radio Flyer Rocket June 16, 2010 Barbara I purchased this for my grandson who was 3 at the time and not too coordinated. This was safe for him to ride and very sturdy, and he had no problem keeping his balance.

I bought this online for my nephew who lives all the way in Denver. He is working on his walking skills so I decided to get this for him to help. It delivered on time, I only wish it could have been wrapped. However my sister said this was the best birthday gift he recieved and he loves making it light up when he chases there pug on it.
Retro Rocket for Leo March 11, 2010 Mary Bee (Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the Retro Rocket for my grandson's first birthday. He's still a little small for it, but loves to "ride" it. He will have a lot more fun with it when he grows a bit. It's really cute and makes "rocket" noises etc., though they could be turned off if they became annoying. The only thing I didn't realize when I bought it is that it required some assembly, but that was pretty minor - just took a few minutes. I wished I had done it before wrapping the gift, though, as that would have been more fun for him. I don't know yet how durable it will be, but it seems well-made. It's a great toy and I recommend it!
Great toy for small kids March 10, 2010 Shoeless Joe 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a very cool toy, but only for small kids. It's made well and the sounds are nice. Big kids will break it if they play rough with it.
