5 out of 5 stars Great for pre-tricycle riders!!   June 19, 2010
Mom of Two
We bought this scoot-about a year ago for my son's 2nd birthday and it was a hit from the start. We didn't think he would be able to pedal a tricycle and didn't want him to have to wait and grow into his birthday present, so we got this. While all his buddies' tricylces were in storage waiting to be used, he was racing down the street in his "bike". Today, he asked where the pedals are, so we'll be getting him a real tricycle for his 3rd birthday. I wish we had bought it sooner since he outgrew it so fast, but our one-year gearing up to use it next.

5 out of 5 stars Great way to learn   May 29, 2010

We got this for our Grandson when he was about 16 months, as a Christmas gift. He knew what it was for right off. He threw his leg over it and took off, although he was standing up. Now, he will be 2 in a couple of months and he goes everywhere on it. It's good an sturdy and well built too. Even my 10 yr old Grandson rides it to the toy room when it's time to put up the toys.

1 out of 5 stars I returned mine   May 15, 2010
theogpuna (Los Angeles,CA)
Unfortunately, we had to return this bike. I assembled it and I have assembled many toys, but all 4 wheels would not sit on the ground. One wheel was never touching the ground. I called radio flyer, they were very nice by the way, and they re-sent me some parts and the problem still existed. I even had my father try, who is a boat builder by trade, and he had the same problem. Aside from this problem, the steering was very stiff and the wheels did not move freely enough, thus my son quickly lost interest. He was just shy of 2 at the time.

5 out of 5 stars My 1 year old loves it!   February 14, 2010

I wasn't sure if my little girl would be ready for this, since she was getting it for her 1st birthday and couldn't quite walk yet, but she loves it. First we had to put her on it and she would just take off. She also likes to push her sister around on it backwards (and her sister is 4 1/2 and 40 lbs, so it is a sturdy toy). After about a week she could lift her leg over and get on by herself, but she still cannot steer it very well and often ends up stuck against a wall or something (although it is really easy to steer, she just doesn't understand the concept yet). The scoot about is attractive, small, sturdy and fun and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

4 out of 5 stars Beautiful toy   January 17, 2010
Ella's granny (Salem AR)
I am unhappy that the toy is somewhat too small for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. I wish the seat could go up higher. She does ride it but can't do so for much longer.
