| Customer Reviews: Don't waste your money August 7, 2010 sunnyfishnguam I purchased this item for my 9, 7 & 2 year old to play in the backyard. First the tunnel itself would not stay filled with air and we filled it up at a gas station. The googles fall off the kids easy, even after adjusting and the 3D advertised is over rated. After two times playing with it the slide itself tore and we could no longer use it or even repair it. It was such a waste of money - next time I'll purchase the cheaper one so I don't feel so bad. We paid more than the average for this item due to us living overseas and not having many choices.
I would not recommend this to anyone with kids because they will be disappointed soon after the package is opened.
Kind Of Pricey For A Water Slide, But A Good Time...3 1/2 stars... July 26, 2010 Mercedes L. Johnmeyer (Kingsland, GA) After going through a bunch of different toddler pools so far this summer, I decided to try a water slide. My son is 2 1/2 and he's a cautious boy, so I wasn't sure if he'd actually run and slide. Well, I was right...he didn't. He did do an Army-Crawl type maneuver back and fourth through it though. However, the longer he played on it, the more comfortable he got with it.
Set up for this thing isn't difficult, but it's kind of a pain. Fill up the end area with water to weight it down, then steak the beginning of the slide into the ground. You need to full the feet of the tunnel before inflating it. This was a slight pain since I needed to fill it in the yard, then carry the now heavy tunnel over near the porch where the blower plugs into the wall, inflate it, then carry it back out into the yard. Once the feet are filled, and it's inflated, it's pretty sturdy. Even with a mild wind blowing, it didn't move around. The water that sprays all down the side of the slide does a very good job of keeping the slide wet. We have super thick St. Augustine grass down here (I'm convinced the stuff would withstand a nuclear explosion), so the side would have to be repositioned every now and again since the sprays would start to spray straight up and/or back, away from the slide.
Overall, I think the $35 I paid for this at Wal-Mart was a bit steep for what you're actually getting. The tunnel is a nice addition to the slide, but it's not great. It doesn't spray water or DO anything. I wouldn't buy this again at that price, but if you can find this for around $20, then I say go for it. Though my son didn't quite feel comfortable with the running and sliding, he played with it most of the afternoon, and I think older kids (3,4,5) would absolutely love this.
Not worth the money. May 19, 2010 N. Weiss (Baton Rouge, LA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought a cheaper slide for my kids and it broke within a few days, so I saw this at a local store and bought it. ( I paid less though - $38.00). The 3D effect really is not worth mentioning. The tunnel is ok, but even when you fill the bottoms with water it still shifts easily. The slide itself is fairly small and the bumper at the bottom is also(in comparison to the slides from my days as a kid). After about 20 minutes of play it was already starting to rip in the area where you attach the hose to the slide, and my son is only 2 and weighs under 40 pounds, and was the only one using it so far. Also, I had to keep adjusting the slide because there are only 2 stakes at the top holding it into the ground, so it shifts around a lot down it's sides, making it narrower.
I think when this one is completely broken, it would be a lot cheaper and much more durable to make your own slide and would just take a few supplies. I also have a blower powered water slide from Little Tikes, and the kids love love love it and its extremely durable and has lasted over a year of even adults climbing up it and going down the slide. It was pricey ( around $400.00) its worth the amount of fun everyone gets from it. I just wanted these small slides for those times where we dont want to set up the big one.
Great Slide! May 16, 2010 Cheryl S. Tan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son loved this. He rode on it for two hours without getting bored. It's a little hard to inflate, and the 3-D Effects aren't that good but the slide itself is amazing.
