| Customer Reviews: Meh June 6, 2010 E's Mom Too bad there are so few choices for little kids when it comes to this kind of toy. The surface area of the racquet is nice and big and it's light enough for little kids to hold and swing, both making it very likely that they will be able to make contact with a birdie -- high satisfaction, low frustration. But the quality of the product is pretty low. There are big pieces of flashing along the inside of the rim and smaller pieces where the two halves of a racquet come together. The stretchy material has also snagged in a few areas already. The ball part of the birdies have separated from the plastic feathers part (which is already torn) and have needed to be fixed. Seriously? This set wasn't cheap enough to make these flaws acceptable. But my son finds it fun enough that I'm not too mad about it. I just wouldn't recommend it.
Wonderful for those winter time wiggles January 21, 2010 Isabella E. Bertelli (Staten Island, NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My three year old has had this for about three months and loves it. Being winter time in the North East, this has been a life saver to get the wiggles out. The oversized paddles are perfect for smaller children and the soft material is a bonus too. I find the birdies go very far for us and the material has held up well. Maybe the previous reviewer has a dud. This toy has so many benefits from a development stand point in many areas. Bilateral coordination, hand/eye coordination, spatial relations, helping develop and refine dominance, taking turns, learning to win and loose, etc. At fifteen bucks, you def. get your money's worth.
Dissapointed! September 12, 2009 Jairo J. Rios (Bloomfield, NJ USA) I thought my kids would love it. But, that wasn't the case. The net is very loose. This prevents the birdie from going far. They used it once.
