Product Description SwimWays Power Swimr – SmallGive confidence to the youngest swimmers! For Ages: 2-3 years (Approx. 20-35 lbs.)
Editorial Review Endorsed by three-time Olympic gold medalist Josh Davis as "the best way to learn to swim," this is an ingenious system designed for 2-to-3-year-olds who weigh between 20 and 35 pounds. Under adult supervision, youngsters sandwich themselves between two yellow foam plates that feature Velcro shoulder straps and slide toggles for adjustable fit. The ingenuity is in the composition of those foam plates: They're each composed of nine slices of foam. As a child's swimming skills increase with time, these float pads can be removed one by one; soon kids will be dog-paddling with the best of 'em--and all by themselves! If it's not a perfect substitute for swimming lessons from a qualified instructor, the Safe T. Seal Little Swimr Swim Trainer does provide a wonderful way for kids to gain confidence in the water. --Tony Mason

vacation success! November 21, 2009 LUV DOGS This item fit my 16 month old son perfectly, did not interfere in his movement and assisted in feeling secure when in a swimming pool. With our stand by supervision he eventually became comfortable enough to "walk" the wall of the adult depth pool. It should be noted it does not keep a child afloat, it is supportive only.
Power Swimmer Small August 8, 2009 Carol B. Lewis (Athens, Ohio USA) Great product. My grandsons used these for the first time this year and with floatie wings were actually swimming without assistance. They both would come down a slide and felt ssafe. Love these.
Works great July 30, 2009 K. Reischke (East PA) I ordered this for my 35 l.b. 3 year old since he has taken some swim lessons at our local YMCA and we joined the summer pool. After reading the reviews on Amazon I decided to give the product a try. It worked great right from the start. I have had no problems with the straps as other people have and I have had a very possitive experience. I always stay within arms reach of our son because I know that he can go under very quickly (from past experiece even before I got this great swim aid). I have removed some of the foam pads as the instructions recommended and it has been great to adjust them to his swimming level. Would recommend to anyone thinking about a swimming aid.
Our 21 month old is off to a great start with this July 16, 2009 Michael Wray (Atlanta, GA) We started using this with our 21 month old on about her 3rd trip to the pool this summer. By the 2nd day with this, her confidence to get in the water with us was way up even though she couldn't keep her self afloat without our help. Now, just about a month later, with one swim lesson behind where they focused on kicking and getting the arms out without any floation device, she is keeping her self above water with very little support. I think a lot of this has to do with this float design that keeps the arms free, and has made her comfortable being in the water.
At first I thought our little girl may be too big for this as she's about 30lbs and the upper limit is listed at 35. The only real size issue was the crotch strap, as we have it as loose as possible. However, we haven't had any problems with her falling through, and she's able to comfortably step into the vest with plenty of room to tighten the straps.
I would definitely recommend this to others and even purchase it as a gift for friends that have toddlers still learning how to swim.
Must use if your kids are learning to swim! June 15, 2009 the fluker (South TX USA) The Power Swimmer System is the only one to consider for teaching kids confidence in their swimming ability. My 21 month-old loves the mobility she gains from standard life jackets that restrict her shoulder movement. She is our third child to use the system.
